Since our founding in 1949 we have been engaged in the manufacture and sale of chemicals, functional plastics, expandable plastics, foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, electrical raw materials and synthetic fibers and have provided highly specialized products in a wide range of fields. Thanks to the support of our customers, we celebrated our 60th anniversary on the first of September in 2009.
On this occasion, we launched "Declaration of KANEKA UNIITED for the future", our long-term management vision, under the slogan "Striking sustainable growth by innovation through communal ties." We have also put forward a new corporate philosophy in which we state that "With people and technology growing together into creative fusion, we will break fresh ground for the future and tie in to explore New Values. We are also committed to challenge the environmental issues of our planet and contribute to upgrade the quality of life." Based on this philosophy, we will create one competitive business after another in growth fields in order to achieve dramatic growth and expansion as a global corporation.
The circumstances surrounding us are harsh, but people are saying that we are in an age where chemical technology to solve various problems facing society will save the planet and humankind. We see this as a golden opportunity and aim to become a highly perceptive and collaborative value-creating group that continuously produces valuable products, technologies and services.
