Kaneka Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Minoru Tanaka) will revise the sales price of modified silicone polymer (product names: Kaneka MS PolymerTM and SilylTM). For shipments from April 1, the current price will be raised by at least 10 JPY per kilogram.

Due to the rise in prices of domestic naphtha, the prices for main raw materials PPG (polypropylene glycol) and PO (propylene oxide) have also raised. Furthermore, the rise of physical distribution costs and utility costs have also added pressure to profits.

Kaneka endeavored to improve business revenue through initiatives such as constricting costs.  However, having reached the limits of what the company can do, Kaneka has determined that these price revisions are unavoidable.
