Kaneka Corporation
May 20, 2021
Kaneka Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Minoru Tanaka) will revise the sales price of vinyl chloride resin. For shipments from June 15, the current price will be raised by at least 10 JPY per kilogram. This will be applied to not only general-purpose vinyl chloride resin but also all types of specialized vinyl chloride resin, including vinyl chloride paste resin.

While Kaneka revised the price in March of this year, the price of domestic naphtha has since continued to rise. There have also been increases in utility and distribution costs, as well as maintenance costs including for facility upkeep and repair.

Although Kaneka endeavored to reduce costs, we have determined that these price revisions are necessary to fulfill our responsibility of providing stabled product supplies to our customers.
