Kaneka Refreshes "For Bread" Series of Milk Beverages- Uses Straws Made of Kaneka Biodegradable Polymer Green Planet™ -

On March 22, Kaneka Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Minoru Tanaka) will refresh its "For Bread^*1" series of milk beverage products, whose first release was in 2018. Through its affiliate company Kaneka Shokuhin Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Genichiro Kocho), the "For Bread" new products will be sold in bakeries, supermarkets, convenience stores, drugstores, the Kaneka Online Shop^*2, and other retailers.

As part of this product series refresh, the flexible straws used for 200 ml packs will be made of Kaneka Biodegradable Polymer Green Planet^TM (referred to below as Green Planet^TM ), a unique Kaneka material, to help create a sustainable, recycling-oriented societies and solve the issues of plastic pollution. Green Planet^TM is a 100% plant-derived biodegradable polymer developed by Kaneka. It is exceptionally biodegradable in a wide range of environments, such as in seawater and in soil.

We've also reflected the comments of our customers  regarding the product package design in order to better convey the rich flavor and refreshing aftertaste of "For Bread" products, which bring out the delicious flavor of bread.
