This environmental learning program is part of the awareness-raising activities aimed at environmental issues. It provides children, who will shape the future of our society, with an opportunity to think about environmental issues together with their parents using our environmental solution material. The program includes an environmental education program using Green Planet (※1), which is 100% biomass-derived polymer and biodegradable even in seawater, as well as our organic circular dairy farming (※2) , and “Kaneka-no-OuchiTM and Solar CircuitTM”(※3). Additionally, we will present participants with the Green Planet independent research kit, which is ideal for summer vacation projects, and the Gakken manga “Secrets of the SDGs Goal 14: Life Below Water” (※4).
This manga was created with the aim of conveying the importance of contributing to the SDGs to children who will shape the future. Children can deepen understanding of the conservation and sustainable use of marine resources through learning Green Planet’s development and initiatives.
Ashiya City declared itself a “Zero Carbon City” in June 2021 and hopes this program will serve as an educational venue where people can learn about the environment in an enjoyable way.
Based on our mission of KANEKA thinks “Wellness First”, Kaneka provides value globally as a solution provider. We will continue to promote decarbonization measures in the fields of environment and energy through the introduction of Green Planet products, zero-energy housing (ZEH), and BIPV (Building-integrated photovoltaics).
