Data 2.Recovery Ratio of Cells

The Bone Marrow MSC Separation Device recovers approximately 30% of the total nucleated cells from the bone marrow. Within the population of mononuclear cells, 80% of the total MSCs in bone marrow are recovered*. Also the red blood cells, which interfere with cultivation, are mostly removed.
By using the Bone Marrow MSC Separation Device, one can prepare cell suspensions with a higher cell ratio of MSCs.
* A novel method to isolate mesenchymal stem cells from bone marrow in a closed system using a device made by nonwoven fabric, Ito et al. (Tissue Eng Part C Methods. 2010 Feb;16(1):81-91)
